Adapted from a novel of the same name by the iconic author Orhan Kemal, the story takes place in the fifties on the rural side of Adana. Güllü (Özgü Namal) is a poor woman who works at a cotton factory owned by one of the richest men in the city, Muzaffer (Mehmet Aslantuğ). She is in love with a machinist who also works in the same factory named Kemal (Caner Cindoruk). However, Güllü’s father forces her to marry Muzaffer’s rich nephew, Ramazan (Necip Memili). Unaware of her father’s intention, Güllü, who rented their future home with Kemal does not know what to do. Her life takes a drastic turn when Muzaffer returns from a six-month European trip and sees Güllü in his factory by chance. After the meeting, Güllü’s fate changes in a way that no one can even predict.
