Initiated in the turbulent time of the seventies, the story follows the life of a young woman named Yurdanur (Özge Özberk & Selda Alkor) over decades. After her best friend got murdered at a political demonstration which turned into a riot, Yurdanur gets rescued by a young man named Mehmet (Mehmet Ali Nuroğlu) amid chaos. Immediately falling in love with each other, the couple goes through various personal and political struggles. Even though Yurdanur has an apolitical nature, she comes from a left-leaning family, which is unacceptable for Mehmet’s right-wing parents. Despite all the obstacles, Yurdanur and Mehmet get married against the wish of their families eventually. A generation later, their only child Feriha (Melisa Sözen) grows up to become a journalist and covers the story of her mother’s youth along with the spirit of the time then.
